Here's a copy of my latest History essay for school. I hope you like it!
George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were both great patriots. In this essay , I will be comparing and contrasting there abilities , their roles in the American Revolution, and their attitudes.
Washington and Jefferson had distinct backgrounds that shaped their abilities. When Washington was little, his older brother took charge of the farm. When his older brother died, Washington learned to be a good leader and manager. He developed a love of discipline that later served him as an officer and President. Jefferson was a skilled writer and famous thinker. He went to college and law school, and studied mathematics, philosophy, and politics. This came in handy when he was needed to explain our reasons for separating from King George and Great Britain. Both Washington and Jefferson were great Presidents, and their separate abilities were both needed.
Both Washington and Jefferson were called to work in the American Revolution. Washington began as an officer in the army, and later took control of the army. He brought discipline and respect to his soldiers. Jefferson was not particularly skilled in warfare. Instead, he was involved in politics as the Governor of Virginia. He helped begin the Revolution by the power of his words in the Declaration of Independence. They both helped create this great free nation.
Washington and Jefferson had similar ideas and attitudes about government. They didn’t want a King to rule. They wanted to create a country was free where people could choose laws and leaders for themselves. When they were in office, they treated all citizens as equals.
George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were alike and different. Washington was more skilled in warfare, and that is important because our country needed a great leader to help us defeat the British. Jefferson was a great writer and that was important because we needed someone to write The Declaration of Independence. They both supported the cause of freedom. They were both great Presidents of our country.

That was AMAZING! I have a terrible memory, and I am SO glad that I can learn some things I have forogtten over time! :)
Great report, Sailor. Very informative! Thanks for sharing.
That was a great report Sailor and very accurate. I am reading a biography about John Adams who, as I am sure you know, was the president in between these two men. He really helped both Washington and Jefferson become the leaders that they were. When you get a chance you should read about him too. Keep up the good work.
