Here's the real cowboy West and his fiddle and hat.For the last night of our Family Reunion, we had a cowboy party. Aunt Laurie planned some fun pass the cowboy/cowgirl hat. I played the fiddle and whenever I stopped, whoever was holding the hat had to say some kind of western word. "Yee haw," "move along little doggies," "round up them cattle," and "howdy partner," and "there's a snake in my boot," were just a few of the things that were said. Can you think of any more? Leave a comment! We had a cowboy dinner, followed by square dancing with a real caller. My partners were my cousins Jacob, Reeve, and Sam, and my Uncle David. It was very hot outside and we only had five minute breaks. But it was sure fun. The little boys weren't too interested in dancing, but they piled into a wagon and pretended to be settlers. It was a great night!Come back in a couple of days. I'll show you how I made french donuts and I'll share some souveneirs that my mom brought from her trip to New Orleans. I'll also post some pics of my latest craft craze. See you soon! Enjoy this cute picture of my cousin Lavender!

Sailor,
We loved the hoe down party, too! Except my kids didn't want to dance. But we all loved listening to you and Westy fiddling!
Hey little girl on the go,
We loved hearing you fiddle, too! It was fun to see you and your brother decked out in your western gear, too. Her is another western saying, "Someones poisoned the water hole" and the latest we picked up from "The Dirty Cowboy" book is "naked as a nickel"--Reeve loves that one. We can't wait to see you soon! Heidi
The Cowboy/Cowgirl party was so much fun! We had a great time seeing everyone in their western outfits. I did not get to square dance but loved watching everyone else promenade!
