Pumpkin Patch

This weekend our family went to the pumpkin patch and bought our pumpkins for the season. Mine is so gigantic that I think I could carve three of the sides. It's bigger than our computer. My brother's is pretty big too. We buy our pumpkins in a little town. We've been getting our pumpkins there for five years. A famiy has a farm and they sell their pumpkins on the front lawn. After we get pumpkins we stop and get lunch at a little hamburger joint. Some years it is cold and rainy, but this year it was actually snowy. We stopped to play in the little bit of snow that we could find. It felt like Halloween and Christmas rolled into one. Have a great weekend! I hope you find your pumpkins soon too.

Oh Sailor, how fun!
I love so many things about the pictures. I love your red coat, and I love the one where you are laughing so sweetly, and I love your little brother's West's funny faces, and I love your fun tradition. Once many years ago we went with your family there--do you remember it? The boys were just baby and you had to keep bobbing their heads back up. You are such a fun little gal! We love you and can't wait for a visit. H

Dear Sailor,
We are going to be there soon, like in four hours. And Sailor, bad news we are just going to stay one night, but we will still have fun.
You pumpkin patch trip looked good. I want to show you our pumpkin, too. Maybe we can bring it.
Love
Reeve

How fun. It looks like you're having such a good time.
What a fun tradition. I loved your little red coat.
It looked cold, and fun that it seemed like Halloween and Christmas.
We wish we could have come with you, but are going to the pumpkin patch with Aunt Laurie and her kids, and also Uncle Roy and his family.
Keep up the good work on your blog.
We love it.

What fun pictures of your pumpkin pickin trip! I sure can't believe it SNOWED! How can that be? I didn't think that yall got much snow where you live. But how fun for you and your family. The nearest real pumpkin patch is 40 miles away from us. I'm not sure we will get a chance to take Shelby and Reagan to pick one out or not. We are going back to Sea World next weekend. They love that place and I'm glad that they want their Pop Pop and Gigi to go with them. Please post your pictures once you have cut them up. I'd love to see them. Have a fun weekend.

Sailor - you look like such a classic little girl in that lovely red coat! Don't forget to toast those seeds when you clean out those big pumpkins! Nothing better than some hot chocolate and salty seeds on Halloween night! Now that's a treat!!!

Looks like so much fun Sailor! I am a fan of that red coat too. Sounds like everyone is! Great choice of pumpkins. It looks like a winner. Do you know what design you are carving on your pumpkin yet? I wish I could have come with you guys, especially to the last event. Something about a hamburger joint.....
